William O’Mara has over twenty years of experience within the funeral industry, offering a caring, personal and highly professional service.
As Funeral Directors we understand that being trusted with the arrangements of your loved one puts us in a very privileged position. We can assure you of our complete dedication to ensuring everything is carried out in the most professional and dignified way possible. W. O’Mara is a family run business and William is assisted in the running of the business by his daughter Rachel, his sons Jordan and Sam and his grandson Oliver. We believe in offering a level of service that offers people as much comfort and compassion as possible at what is an extremely difficult time. William states “many of the families who come to us to arrange a funeral have had previous experience of using our services. We take a great source of pride in this. Knowing that what we offer has been appreciated to the extent that when another member of the family passes they immediately pick up the phone to us is something that gives us real professional satisfaction.” We also believe in offering the best possible value for money. William adds; “funeral costs have risen sharply over the past few years. As an independent funeral director we can be very flexible and competitive with regards to price without any compromise in service”. William has gone through specialist training to qualify as a Funeral Director. He continued his training and became an Embalmer in 2006 and in 2010 went on to qualify as an Accredited Tutor for the British Institute of Embalmers (theory teaching on a weekly basis). He is the only independent accredited Tutor currently teaching in Scotland. Living within the local community gives an invaluable knowledge of the local area and an understanding of the different cultures within our community.
