As a caring independent family funeral directors, it is a privilege to support and guide you in your time of need and ensure your requirements are met and expectations exceeded. Our professional staff are available 24 hours a day to fulfil your requirements by telephone, at your home or in our premises. As an independent family business, we understand that each funeral is bespoke. Our approach is to ensure we are here to support you throughout this time to deliver a respectful, professional and personal tribute for your loved one. We will provide a full written estimate to you based on your requirements at the time of arrangement, given you certainty of us understanding and meeting your needs. The funeral arranger will need to be given the Certificate for Burial and Cremation (Green Cert), this certificate is needed by the funeral director to process the funeral service and in most cases if the deceased has passed away at the hospital it will need to be presented to the hospital staff before we can bring the deceased into our care.

The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.

1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.

Our Services

  • Direct unattended cremation - A Direct Cremation is an unattended funeral that will take place at a crematorium of our choice. There will be no service, no minister and no family in attendance. They will of course be treated with the same dignity and respect that any other deceased would be treated, however this is not intended as an option where mourners can still attend. We are able to offer Direct Cremations to the specification laid out below. Our charges including basic third party costs are from £1,500*. (*dependent on choice of crematorium - price based on Cannock Chase Crematorium) Our service will include: The Provision of the Funeral Director’s Services. Managing all the of the necessary arrangements. Provision of a basic coffin suitable for the purpose of cremation. Transfer of the deceased from the place of death into our funeral home (within a 15 miles radius) in normal working hours. (If Out of Hours an incremental charge of £150 will be applied). Care and preparation of the deceased prior to the funeral. Provision of a hearse or private ambulance to the nearest crematorium or cemetery at a time suitable to ourselves. Collection of ashes or scattering of the ashes at the same crematorium. This specification excludes specifically the following services:- Embalming Provision of Limousine(s) Viewing of the deceased Any third party fees payable on the client’s behalf (namely flowers, or any other ancillary items). Any coffin exceeding 6'6" in length x 25" width x 15" depth (internal measurements) THIS SERVICE MUST BE PAID IN FULL A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE
  • Direct Plus Cremation - A Direct Plus Cremation is an attended funeral that will take place at 9:15am at a choice of local crematorium. There will be a small intimate 20 minute service at the crematorium prior to the actual cremation. Your loved one will of course be treated with the same dignity and respect that any other deceased would be treated, however this is not intended as an option for a full service at the crematorium. We are able to offer Direct Plus Cremations to the specification laid out below. Our charges for this service including basic third party costs are from £2,450* (*dependent on choice of crematorium - price based on Cannock Chase Crematorium Simple Service) Our service will include: The Provision of the Funeral Director’s Services. Managing all the of the necessary arrangements. Provision of a basic coffin suitable for the purpose of cremation. A short 20 minute service for a small number of people in the crematorium chapel at 9:15am only Tuesday to Thursday (price based on Cannock Chase Crematorium) Transfer of the deceased from the place of death into our funeral home (within a 15 miles radius) in normal working hours. (If Out of Hours an incremental charge of £150 will be applied). Care and preparation of the deceased prior to the funeral. Provision of a hearse or private ambulance to the nearest crematorium at a time suitable to ourselves. Scattering of the ashes at the same crematorium. This specification excludes specifically the following services:- Embalming Provision of Limousine(s) - the coffin will be in the chapel prior to the families arrival Viewing of the deceased Any fees or disbursements payable on the client’s behalf (flowers, orders of service or any other ancillary items). Collection of ashes from the crematorium & 3 months storage (this can be added for a fee of £95) THIS SERVICE MUST BE PAID IN FULL A MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS PRIOR TO THE FUNERAL SERVICE
  • Simple Funeral Service - A service for your loved one at a chosen crematorium Tuesday to Thursday The specification for a basic funeral is as follows:- The Provision of the Funeral Director’s Services and all staff at the funeral. Managing all the of the necessary arrangements. Provision of a basic coffin suitable for the purpose of cremation or of burial. Transfer of the deceased from the place of death into our funeral home (within a 15 miles radius) in normal working hours. (If Out of Hours an incremental charge of £150 will be applied). Care and preparation of the deceased prior to the funeral. Chapel of rest withing office hours Provision of a hearse or private ambulance directly to the nearest crematorium or cemetery at a time suitable to ourselves. Burial may be specified as opposed to/instead of cremation where this is locally available. 09:45am service Tuesday to Thursday only* with a 30 minute service in chapel Scattering of ashes at the same crematorium This specification excludes specifically the following services:- Embalming Provision of Limousine(s) - the coffin will be in the chapel / at the burial ground prior to the families arrival Chapel of rest outside of office hours Any fees or disbursements payable on the client’s behalf (namely crematoriums/burial fees, ministers fees, flowers, orders of service or any other ancillary items). Collection of ashes from the crematorium & 3 months storage (this can be added for a fee of £95) (*dependent on choice of crematorium as early services times vary - 09:45 is based on Cannock Chase Crematorium)
